Whilst we don’t all turn up to work looking for an award for our daily efforts, it’s great when what we do and how we do it makes a difference to our work environment and the people within it.
Cue Ameon’s James (Jimmy) O’ Connor, our ventilation supervisor on the University Collegiate School project in Bolton, because James’s praises have been sung by our client, Galliford Try, who have recognised his efforts with the award of a Screwfix gift card to show their appreciation for what they describe as an outstanding contribution to health and safety on the project.
Rather than us waxing lyrical, the following comments from Galliford Try’s senior project manager, David Bickerstaffe, say it all: “Jimmy O’Connor’s attitude and contribution to health and safety on this project have been exemplary. He is incredibly conscientious and applies his vast knowledge in a very pragmatic and enthusiastic manner, which inspires others on site.
“Our team and Jimmy have enjoyed a very collaborative relationship, and he has worked with us to manage the day to day safe management of the project as well raising the bar with other key challenges facing our industry at present, such as improving dust management and work at height behaviours.
“As we approach completion, we wanted thank him for his outstanding contribution to the Bolton project.”
Well done to Jimmy for representing Ameon with distinction!
