Children in some of the most deprived parts of Leeds will now have eggs to crack on Easter Sunday, courtesy of an initiative by John Sisk & Son, to which we’ve lent our support wholeheartedly.
Along with Sisk we are delighted to support Leeds based community organisation KidzKlub, to help bring smiles to the faces of children in the city, through our donations of Easter eggs, which will be distributed by the charity to children who have probably never even thought about receiving the traditional Easter sweet treat in this year, or any previously.
Says Ameon principal commercial manager, Steve McCourt: “Many of us perhaps take the provision of Easter eggs for our children for granted, but this initiative will make a real difference to many children who perhaps wouldn’t get them during the Easter period, so KidzKlub, which undertakes such great work in the community, should be praised for its unstinting support for families who have struggled during the cost of living crisis.
“Like Sisk, we’re always ready to support the communities in which we work. In Leeds, this sees us engaged with the company on the construction of the city’s iconic, Latitude Purple development, which has given us this opportunity to get involved in such a worthwhile activity.
“If it makes just one child smile or feel that they are not left out, then it’ll have been worth the effort.”
Happy Easter!
