Social Value Policy

At Ameon, our values are based on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity. We put people at the heart of our business and we truly believe that by supporting one another through our culture of caring, we all succeed.

We believe in helping create a fairer society and to leave things in a better place than we found them, helping communities foster growth and success. Working collaboratively to drive positive impacts on all projects we deliver – socially, environmentally and economically –  Social value is a core part of our ethos.

We understand the importance of delivering not only quality construction services but also positive, lasting social value within the communities where we work. As a committed SME in the construction industry, we embed social value into our operations in alignment with the UK Government’s Social Value Model and the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.

We recognize that our operations can contribute to broader social, economic, and environmental well-being, therefore our social value strategy focuses on:

  • Supporting local communities
  • Creating local employment and skills opportunities
  • Reducing environmental impact
  • Promoting ethical and inclusive business practices
  • Supporting the voluntary and community sector

  • Sustainable Practices: Use sustainably sourced materials, low-carbon products, and energy-efficient equipment where feasible.
  • Carbon Reduction: Promote low-emission transport methods for site workers and reduce idling of plant and vehicles.

Community Engagement & Regeneration

  • Support local Community Projects with  time and resources to support minor building improvements for local community groups, schools, or
  • Donation of Surplus Materials: Provide leftover construction materials to community projects or charities for reuse.

Supporting local Supply Chains

  • Source building materials or subcontractors from SMEs or suppliers based locally
  • Promote fair and prompt payment terms to local subcontractors and trades

Monitoring and Reporting

To ensure transparency and effectiveness, we will:

  • Track and measure social value outcomes
  • Report progress to stakeholders using clear metrics (aligned with Social Value TOMs if required or any other reporting mechanism they may require)
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate to improve performance

Ameon  is fully committed to delivering measurable, meaningful social value alongside our core business services. We view social value not as a contractual obligation but as a key part of being a responsible and sustainable enterprise.
