We’re back to the classroom for our latest £3 Million contract, which will see both Ameon and Ameon Utilities responsible for the design and installation of all mechanical and electrical services systems and utilities infrastructure for King’s Leadership Academy, a new multi-million-pound school development in Bolton.

We’ve been awarded the contract by lead contractor, Galliford Try, and work on the utilities infrastructure phase has already begun, to deliver new water, gas and electricity services to the site. The building services phase will bring the new state-of-the-art academy to life with the installation of mechanical and electrical services infrastructure, including a building management system, domestic hot water and low temperature water services, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, hybrid natural ventilation heat recovery and public health services. Electrical services will provide power and lighting (including low-voltage and emergency lighting) to all areas of the school campus, plus data, fire and intruder systems, CCTV, facilities for the disabled, access controls and lightning protection.

Pre-construction director, Mark Court, is delighted to see both companies involved in such a key education sector development in Bolton.  He commented: “The King’s Leadership Academy is a landmark education development in the town and its facilities will be class-leading; therefore, we’re keen to play our part in its development.

“Collaborating with our client, Galliford Try, we’re helping to create what will be a truly 21st century facility for the academy’s students.  It will incorporate the latest technology and energy saving features and will be a tremendous addition to the educational offering in Bolton.”
