CHECKING IN FOR £10 MILLION AIRPORT CITY CONTRACT
We’ve checked-in on the building services contract for Airport City Manchester’s hotel district, adjacent to Manchester Airport’s brand new Terminal 2.
The £10 million contract, awarded by Beijing Construction Engineering Group International UK (BCEGI UK), will see us engaged in the design and installation of all mechanical and electrical services for Airport City’s 280-bedroom Holiday Inn and the 262- bedroom, IBIS Budget: with the first phase of the contract already underway on site to install a grey water harvesting system, as part of the scheme’s water/energy conservation measures.
Our utilities arm has also been appointed to install elements of the development’s utilities infrastructure, part of which will involve Ameon Utilities working on behalf of United Utilities on the project.
The Holiday Inn and IBIS Budget projects are the first to begin in Airport City Manchester’s hotel district and they offer us another opportunity to showcase our services on a high profile development that will mean much to the economy of the region
