The latest career development of Ameon senior design engineer, Michael Dallas, has seen him enter chartered (sic) territory.

Michael has become the first within the company to attain chartered engineer status (CEng): a title carrying with it membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and entry in the organisation’s professional register.  This development follows his achievement of an MSc in Building Services Engineering – with merit – from Leeds Beckett University in 2023.

Although Michael is Ameon’s first chartered engineer, there are currently four building services engineers within the company who have attained incorporated engineer status (IEng), which also carries CIBSE membership.  Three of the quartet are currently studying for their Master’s Degrees at Leeds Beckett University, with a view to following Michael to achievement of chartered status.  This augurs well for Ameon’s burgeoning design department, which is already home to some of the most talented people in the industry.

Commenting on his achievement, Michael said: “The road for personal development is a long one, but I’m glad that the hours of hard work have got me to this stage in my career.

“Obviously, as a personal goal, I’m delighted to have achieved chartered status.  It’s a title I’m proud to hold, and I’m sure that all of us on this journey at Ameon will be delighted that achievement of such an internationally recognised title will enhance further  the company’s already impressive technical credentials.  And this will only reflect well on its unwavering investment and support in skills and personal development for all employees, which is second to none.”

Ameon’s design director, David Connor praised Michael efforts, commenting: “Michael’s  shown a huge commitment to gain chartered status and we are all really proud of his achievements, which vindicate our investment in education and training at all levels throughout the company.  He is a terrific example for people here to follow, because he demonstrates, through hard work and dedication, that if you want to reach new heights, you are in the perfect place to fulfil your ambitions.”

Congratulations Michael!
