We’re a colourful lot here at Ameon, which is why we’re throwing caution (and paint) to the wind by sponsoring and manning the paint station at the start of the annual Blackpool Colour Run – in aid of the resort’s Trinity Hospice – which is expected to attract a huge number of entrants when it kicks off at 11:00 am on Saturday 19th July.
Whilst some of our staff have been known to paint the town red from time to time, on this occasion, they’ll be handed yellow powder paint to fill the air and cover competitors, as they set off on the 3km walk, jog or run along Starr Beach. Along the route, participants will pass through seven coloured paint stations: being covered from head to toe in a kaleidoscope of brightly coloured powder paint in the process.
Our own plucky volunteers will earn their colours on the day by ensuring that all entrants match the Blackpool weather, by receiving a good sprinkling of yellow powder to set them off on the 3km run with a suitably sunny outlook!
Says Ameon company secretary, Jean O’Hagan: “It’s great to be involved with members of our finance team to help set the tone of the Blackpool Colour Run from the start!
“This is always a great event, and we’re delighted to be the sponsor of the starting paint station. We’ll all have some fun participating, but we’ll be equally pleased that our involvement helps Trinity Hospice to continue to fund its life-enhancing work in the resort.”
