Ameon is amongst the first supply chain contractors to utilise social value and construction management software specialist, Compliance Chain’s social value portal for tracking and evaluating its social engagement programmes.
The ability to demonstrate and measure the value of social engagement on projects is now a vital part of the tender process and also of reporting procedures during contract, and Compliance Chain’s dedicated Social Value Portal will enable Ameon to measure the efficacy and monetary value of its strategic and tactical activities in the field. The software will provide Ameon with performance indicators against government set targets and those key performance indicators agreed for each contract – enabling regular accurate reporting back to clients and local authorities.
The social value requirements set by central and local government for each contract include such initiatives as community support, employment opportunities generated locally, apprenticeship opportunities and also support for businesses of all kinds in the local economy.
Contract director, Dave Scott believes the Compliance Chain portal will help to improve the collection of data for monthly reporting. He commented: “Social value management has always been a feature of contracts, and now, it has become even more important to demonstrate unequivocally, that the work we do adds value and benefit to local communities and their economies.
“We have always sought to have a positive influence on the communities in which we work, and partnering with Compliance Chain allows us to measure everything we do more effectively, with real-time reporting allowing us to track our performance, which is of great help to our clients and our business.”
