Senior Electrical Design Engineer
With three or four years’ experience, you may already be in a senior position and looking for a new challenge with a more dynamic business, or a design engineer looking to take the next step up. Either way, you will have to demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency and a strong track record.
Your Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems on cutting-edge projects across the UK. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, you will ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for RIBA Stage 4-5 construction projects.
- Oversee and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems effectively.
- Have technical oversight of junior engineers and support their professional development.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency strategies within electrical designs.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Professional Registration with IET or similar body (Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred)
- Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, power, and containment systems.
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, or similar software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.

Electrical Engineer
Your Role
You’ll be part of a talented and forward-thinking design team, working on a variety of exciting projects across the UK. You’ll assist in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical building services, while gaining valuable experience from senior engineers and project leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of electrical systems across RIBA Stage 4-5 commercial, residential, and public sector projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical and electrical colleagues to deliver coordinated MEP designs.
- Assist in ensuring designs comply with BS7671, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Attend design and coordination meetings with project teams and clients.
- Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree (or working towards) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Some experience (e.g. 2+ years) in a building services or construction environment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, or similar software.
- Understanding of LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and power systems.
- Enthusiasm to develop technical and professional skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
