The New Cross Residential Scheme is a new-build, high-rise residential development comprising 144 private apartments over eleven storeys, together with ground floor amenity facilities, commercial shell space, cycle storage, refuse facilities and associated landlord areas. Ameon delivered the complete mechanical, electrical and public health services installation, providing energy-efficient building services, centralised domestic hot water generation, comprehensive life safety systems and intelligent building controls designed to support modern residential living.

Project Delivery Highlights:
- Delivered the complete mechanical, electrical and public health services installation for a 144-apartment high-rise residential development incorporating communal amenity spaces, commercial shell accommodation and landlord facilities.
- Installed a resilient electrical infrastructure comprising dual incoming utility supplies, landlord and apartment LV distribution, essential services switchgear, automatic transfer switches and comprehensive energy metering throughout the development.
- Delivered a highly energy-efficient heating strategy incorporating central gas-fired condensing boilers, an 80 kW Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plant, thermal storage and Heat Interface Units (HIUs) providing domestic hot water to each apartment, complemented by individual electric panel heaters for space heating.
- Installed VRF heating and cooling systems serving communal amenity spaces, together with apartment MVHR systems and central heat recovery ventilation units providing energy-efficient ventilation and excellent indoor air quality.
- Delivered a fully integrated domestic water installation including central cold water storage, boosted water services, HIUs, CAT5 washdown systems and trace-heated external pipework to maintain reliable water distribution throughout the building.
- Installed comprehensive life safety systems including residential sprinklers, dry risers, addressable fire alarm systems, smoke ventilation, automatic opening vents (AOVs) and mechanical smoke extract systems fully integrated with the building fire strategy.
- Provided intelligent Building Management System (BMS) controls monitoring boiler plant, CHP, heat meters, electrical metering, water consumption and mechanical plant to optimise energy efficiency and long-term operational performance.
- Delivered integrated security and communications infrastructure including access control, video intercom, CCTV surveillance, structured Cat6 cabling, fibre broadband infrastructure and IRS television distribution to all apartments.
- Installed energy-efficient LED lighting throughout apartments and communal areas incorporating DALI dimming, occupancy detection, daylight sensing and automatic emergency lighting testing to reduce operational energy consumption.
