It’s a slightly different take on keep fit, but our teams are staying in good shape on our latest contract at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Institute of Sport facility. They were straight into 21,000 kg of plant lifts onto the building’s roof in Manchester city centre, shortly after starting on site.
The air handling unit pictured is one of three such units on the newly prepared roof, which weigh in at 8,625kg in total. Add to these, two chiller units, at a combined 4,400kg, and a long list of additional plant, and you can see why we enlisted some plant of our own to help scale the dizzy heights.
This £3.5Million contract showcases our full range of services, and is another where we get to work with our colleagues at Eric Wright Construction.
Forty lifts in total and we’ve hit the ground running…or should that be the roof!
Great work from all involved!
