Towards the end of 2024, Ameon achieved FIRAS certified installer/contractor status under the Fire Accreditation Scheme, enabling the company to design and install fire-rated ducting, and also to self-certify its own installations.
Now, we’ve gone further, with the addition of 3rd Party accreditation for Penetration Sealing, which enables us to compliantly install fire seals to our outlets on fire walls.
Some may see this as a modest addition, but it is yet another vital discipline that we are now accredited to provide in-house, rather than having to rely on external organisations.
Construction director, Dave Scott, says: “The greater number of areas in which we achieve FIRAS accreditation can only be good for Ameon and for the projects upon which we work.
“Our ability to determine that our own installations are FIRAS compliant should lead to swifter commissioning and therefore should provide further reassurance to our clients that they are in the safe hands of a company that is continuously developing its abilities to install and self-certify in key areas of fire-related infrastructure.”
