The annual Christmas Tree collection on behalf of Trinity Hospice and Brian House has given Ameon’s volunteers, mulch (sic) to shout about this year.

Maintaining Ameon’s traditional support for the volunteer-led scheme, which collects used trees and ensures that they are repurposed for the benefit of the local environment, were Ameon employees, Allan Sherman, Martin Garnett and Jayme Brewsher – who were ably assisted by Steven Rutter of sub-contractor, SR Vent and Allan’s good pal Gary Sandiford.  They volunteered to man the Ameon vans which were loaned by the company to assist with the collection from addresses across the Fylde Coast.

In addition to collection duties – in sub-zero temperatures – they also chipped the used trees into mulch for the Brian House Children’s Hospice allotment at Anchorsholme, which is managed by the HASSRA Fylde Garden Club and is open to hospice children and their families for therapeutic gardening activities.

Turning used Christmas Trees into 2025’s green shoots of growth is an apt metaphor for an activity, which helps to provide a really positive experience for children living with some of the most challenging health conditions imaginable.

Well done to Allan, Martin, Jayme, Steven and Gary (pictured).  You did Ameon and Brian House proud!
