Construction giant, Morgan Sindall’s ‘Getting Connected’ supply chain event in Blackpool, lived up to its name for Ameon as a result of key connections made with business leaders and decision makers representing the local and regional economies.

Ameon’s estimating director, Scott Andrews and contract manager, James Higham were in attendance, supporting the Morgan Sindall initiative, to advise on supply chain opportunities, discuss investment in the regional economy and talk about careers and apprenticeship opportunities linked to Blackpool & The Fylde College’s exciting Multiversity project.

Scott, a former Blackpool & The Fylde College student during his apprenticeship years, was delighted to see so many young people interested in pathways for trade and degree apprenticeships, and so many public and private sector organisations committed to collaborative working.

Commented: Scott: “I was delighted to meet with members of Blackpool & The Fylde College, Blackpool CouncilBusiness in the Community and the wider Morgan Sindall team to discuss how we can assist to build long-term strategic partnerships, and was encouraged further by the genuine engagement of the students who were interested to hear about careers in the construction sector.

“We must thank hosts Morgan Sindall, and in particular, supply chain manager, Neil Carson and social value manager, Gill Roberts, for an event that showcased the optimism and energy of Fylde Coast organisations.”
