“It’s really gratifying to be nominated for awards for what you do as a business, and it’s even more rewarding to win one but businesses don’t win awards…people do.” That’s the message from managing director, Robin Lawson following the company’s receipt of the ‘Perfect Delivery Award’ in construction company, Morgan Sindall’s North West Supply Chain Awards 2021.
Ameon received the award for the design and installation of the building services infrastructure in the 21-storey New Bailey A7 tower, which is the tallest of the three ‘Slate Yard’ residential towers, located on the border of Manchester city centre. Featuring 199 apartments, a gym and communal spaces, the development by English Cities Fund is a striking part of the Manchester landscape.
Commenting on the award, Robin added: “To all members of our team working to deliver this project to a level that has earned us such recognition for our work I’d like to say a huge thank you! We couldn’t have achieved this without the professionalism, diligence and hard work of everyone involved.
“We’ve always been a ‘people-business’, and when we do receive accolades for our work, it is only right to highlight those who made it possible. This was an exceptional team performance from all concerned.”
